The wonderful and diverse Semmering - Rax - Schneeberg area is always worth a visit. Whether you just want to enjoy the clear, fresh mountain air or go hiking through colourful woods. We can make it possible for you to get to know the beauty of the area.
Reichenau was already a valued place of recreation in the days of the emperor. It was the place for summer refreshment and had become the noble spa of the monarchy. There are many beautiful walking paths remaining from that time through Reichenau, leading to a multitude of architecturally impressive villas and country houses, as well as to the Rothschild Castle or the Reichenau Castle.
The first Viennese high-spring water pipeline also dates from that time. Every day, fresh water flows from Kaiserbrunn to countless households in Vienna. A visit to the water pipe museum in Kaiserbrunn can provide some interesting background information.
If you are visiting Reichenau, you must not forget the cultural and natural heritage of our earth! Get to know the world cultural heritage "Semmeringbahn.” It stands out for its extraordinary railway line, the important buildings and the impressive landscape.
Further hiking and walking trails lead you to the most beautiful places in Reichenau and the surrounding area.
